Ken Parille has published essays on William Wordsworth and Lord Bryon, Louisa May Alcott and boyhood, the mother-son relationship in antebellum American culture, and cartoonist Daniel Clowes. His writing has appeared in Children's Literature, Tulsa Studies in Women's Literature, New Literary History, Papers on Language and Literature, The Journal of Popular Culture, The Boston Review, and Comic Art. He has also published a guitar instructional book as well as a number of instructional articles. Some of his writing has been published in French and Japanese.
