Diane Penrod is Director of the University Writing Program and Professor of English. She is the author of five books and more than 30 articles and book chapters. Her research interests include composition theory/pedagogy, writing assessment and program evaluation, Web 2.0 literacies, popular culture, media literacy, and the function of trust in the composition classroom. Forthcoming publications include four books currently under review or development (trust in the composition classroom, a study of the affect the 1970s had on composition studies, an essay collection centering on innovations in Writing Across the Curriculum, and Web 2.0 literacies and their importance in K-12 environments). Diane also has several articles presently under review for publication.
