Zachary Perkinson joined the faculty in Fall 2007. He previously taught English 1100 and 1200 as a graduate teaching assistant at ECU. He also taught Developmental English at Pitt Community College and worked as a freelance copywriter in advertising, among other pursuits. His research interests include the rhetorical traditions of literatures specific to national language communities, idiomatic discourse, and anything to do with American literature. As an undergraduate, he wrote for The East Carolinian and worked as an editorial assistant for the North Carolina Literary Review.
