Nicole Nolan Sidhu defended her Ph.D. dissertation on obscenity in late medieval English literature in 2002. Her article entitled "Go Betweens: the Old Woman and the Function of Obscenity in the Old French Fabliau" will appear in Comic Provocations: Exposing the Corpus of Old French Fabliaux (Palgrave-Macmillan, 2006), and her article on Chaucer's comedy is forthcoming in Palgrave Advances in Chaucer Studies (Palgrave-Macmillan). Her essays on Canadian culture have appeared in various magazines, newspapers, and communication textbooks. She joined the ECU faculty in 2002.
