Panels & Presentations Wendy Sharer presented her essay, "The Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF): Rhetorical Practices of a Peaceful Global Democracy," at the Rhetoric Society of America Conference in Las Vegas, NV, May 23-26, 2002. Seodial Deena presented "Colonialism and Capitalism: 'The love of money is the root of all evil' in Jean Rhys' Wide Sargasso Sea," at the Ninth International Conference on the Literature of Region and Nation, Durban, South Africa, July 29-August 3, 2002. Jerry Leath Mills stood before the meeting of the North Carolina Writer's Conference in Elizabeth City, NC on July 27, 2002 and spoke about how "The Dead Mule Rides Again" in Southern Literature.
