The goal of this program is to transform the dedicated young physician into a confident, competent pediatrician readied for primary care practice or subspecialization.

We seek residents who sense the uniqueness of pediatrics among the specialties, who recognize the opportunity for maintenance of physical and emotional health through early preventive means, who desire to treat patients in the continuum from birth through adolescence for diseases common and uncommon, who are excited at the prospect of witnessing the phenomenon of growth and development, and who will act as child advocates assuring the child's rightful status in home, school and community.

Our training program derives its strength from the wide spectrum of patients encountered, the graded responsibilities afforded the residents, the role model attributes of the mentors and the modern facilities we occupy. In such a milieu, the physician integrates the knowledge, judgment and values inherent in successful practice.
