Generalist Physician in Training Interest Group (GPIT) AMSA FMIG IMIG PIG MPIG Student Interest Group Main Menu	The Generalist Physician in Training Interest Group is a national student orgainization committed to fostering student interest in medical generalism; developing a community - responsive physician work force; and increasing the number of medical school graduates entering primary care. GPIT is open to all students regardless of their specialty interest. Monthly lunch meetings will provide information on all primary care specialties including: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Medicine-Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as other specialties. Projects include co-sponsoring National Primary Care Day, establishing a Mentor Network, and providing information on summer externship programs, clerkships and residencies in Primary Care. Membership is free!
