Student
Researchers
The Altiplano contains some of the
best continuous climate records in South America. The records are better
preserved than those of the Amazon Basin and they are climatically linked
to Amazonia, hence to global climate patterns. Our ongoing research on
the Altiplano has offered many opportunities for students interested in
using sedimentological and/or geochemical techniques to interprete the
stratigraphic record of climate change.
