Research in the Geological Sciences Department runs the gamut from

Paleozoic tectonics to Holocene climate and sea level change.

Although departmental research activities have a decidedly

regional bent, our interests extend beyond the boundaries

of the state, region, and continent, giving students the opportunity

to participate in a variety of projects in a variety of places.
