B.S. in School Health Education

School health educators are trained to be public school teachers. They work at all levels, pre-school to college or university. School health educators develop skills necessary to assess learning styles and develop education methods and materials through student teaching experiences. They develop and deliver disease prevention and health promotion content aimed at developing positive health behaviors. With the information school health educators provide, their students learn to make decisions concerning personal, family, and community health. School health educators also help coordinate, promote, and evaluate comprehensive school health programming for students, staff, and parents.
