Clinical Application Training

Clinical Application Training:

The Clinical Application Training (CAT) Section of HIS/S designs, facilitates, and recommends various levels of health information training for all clinical departments and components throughout East Carolina University.  We identify needs and competency levels according to clinical workflows, medical legal standards, and federal guidelines.  Training consists of electronic medical record workflows (Logician), documentation standards, HIPAA Privacy Standards, use and disclosure of health information, and other miscellaneous staff development enhancements.  CAT also provides training consultation and assistance in planning educational activities to assist ECU's learning needs to provide quality clinical workflows and health information for the University.
