The EC Scholars Program is a merit scholarship program established in 1998. Dr. Michael Brown, Professor and Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies, serves as the EC Scholars Program Coordinator. Dr. Brown and the Office of Admissions work together to coordinate the process for the selection of incoming freshmen EC Scholars each year. The amount awarded to scholarship recipients is $40.000 ($5,000 per semester for eight continuous semesters). In addition, Scholars are provided with a $5,000 stipend to help support a study abroad experience.
