Welcome to the Benefits Unit. Our Benefits counselors are committed to serving the University community in a timely and professional manner. Counselors are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. to speak with you regarding any of your State, University and global benefits questions.
FACULTY & STAFF
The Benefits Unit provides guidance and clarification to Faculty & Staff on a wide range of programs, plans, enrollment and separation procedures in addition to individual consultation on leave items as defined by both the State of North Carolina and University.
DEPARTMENTS & MANAGEMENT
Unit counselors assist University management in the implementation and policy interpretation of Federal and State guidelines to include but not limited to: Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), State Retirement systems and comprehensive leave procedures.
