During two dates in October 2007, the Citizens' Monitoring Network
visited the C.M. Eppes Middle School in Greenville, NC.
The purpose of these trips were to educate and offer water quality test
demonstrations to kids in grades 6 thought 8 as
part of the "Water Day" program. This event had an estimate of 14
stations set up at a nearby park where each represented
a group or agency that focused in on the importance of water
quality. Some of the stations included the Rapid Response
Team from the North Carolina Department of Environmental and Natural
Resources (NCDENR) and the Pitt Soil and Water
Conservation District of the Pitt County Agricultural Center.
