The minutes of all meetings of the IRCC, its Executive Board, and all standing and Ad-Hoc committees are posted on the IRCC web site no later than five working days after a meeting. The Council maintains email lists to which ECU constituents can subscribe for regular, automatic updates on the minutes and other actions of selected committees and other groups engaged in IT activities.

A quorum for the purposes of conducting business at all IRCC and subcommittee meetings is a simple majority of the full membership of the relevant body.

Charge:

Charge:

The Information Security Council (ISC) is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of University information. The ISC reports to the IRCC and advises the Chancellor on such matters. The ISC promotes information security as a business issue that is the responsibility of the entire university community. The ISC submits University policy, strategic plans, and business process recommendations to the full Information Resources Coordinating Council (IRCC) for review and approval, monitors progress of ongoing security initiatives, and reports on emerging issues that may impact the safekeeping of University information. In addition, the ISC assists the Information Security Officer in developing information security goals, operational plans, and project priorities within the context of regulatory, legal, audit, risk management, and organizational requirements.

Charge:
Review Academic Affairs and Health Sciences program plans involving IT. Address IT policy issues that affect all university constituents or that affect units at the college or school level or above. (Individual academic department policies need not be reviewed unless they have impact outside the department.) This committee addresses faculty support issues including, but not limited to, One Stop, the Help Desk, professional development, statistical consulting, workstation support, distance education, campus infrastructure, course management systems (e.g. BlackBoard) and core facility implementations. Coordinate the distance education information technology actions across campus.
