This is a reminder to be wary of computer viruses, adware/malware, and phishing schemes. Protect your personal information and ECU’s digital resources!

•    Do not click on online advertisements, especially on social networking sites like Facebook/MySpace, blogs, etc. Viruses can be incorporated directly within an ad, so that simply clicking on the ad or visiting the site can infect a computer, or ads can be used to direct users to a Web site that aims to steal passwords or identities.

•    Do not click on links or open attachments in unsolicited e-mails.
