Eduroam is a secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. Many institutions are now members, so a registered user/device has an automatic internet connection wherever eduroam is available. Users "onboard" (enroll) with the eduroam service by installing a certificate on each wireless device and authenticating with their ECU credentials.
New and current students, faculty and staff and those with a new device can conveniently pre-enroll with the eduroam service through onboard.ecu.edu. Please note that you cannot connect to the eduroam network until the onboarding process is complete.
For more information about eduroam and step-by-step instructions for onboarding your wireless devices, visit the eduroam website.
Departments should complete the VPN Access form for their non-employee sponsored accounts requiring VPN access.
A virtual private network (VPN) is a secure connection between an off-campus device - home desktop computer, laptop, tablet, etc. - and internal ECU campus resources. It is recommended that users set up and test a connection while on campus.
Visit the VPN page for set-up instructions and the VPN login.
