Item Request Form

 
Note: This form should be used for requesting/recalling items that are currently checked out and not for making a purchase request. With this form, you are making the request that the item be recalled and held for you when it is returned.
 
Any ECU faculty, staff, or student who is registered with Laupus Library may use this form to request an item that is checked out by another patron. If you are not registered with the library, please be sure to do so (User Registration) prior to submitting a request.

FYI: The library will contact the current borrower and ask them to return the item on its due date. After an item has been recalled, it can no longer be renewed.

Keep in mind that the borrower is not required to return an item prior to its due date.

When the item is returned, you will be notified and the item will be held for you for ten (10) days.

Those items that are in high demand and have been requested by several people will likely be put on Reserve. This will keep the item in the library and allow full usage for everyone.

If you cannot wait for an item to be returned on its due date, please consider utilizing our Interlibrary Loan services or contacting your Liaison Librarian for further alternative measures.
