Welcome to Hope

The Leo W. Jenkins Cancer Center (LJCC) delivers you the tools, medical expertise, and compassionate care to fight cancer. The LJCC counts with seven board certified oncologists in medical oncology, hematology or both; one board certified gynecologic oncologist; six board certified surgeons with expertise in breast, thoracic (lung, esophagus), gastrointestinal (pancreas, liver, stomach, colon, rectum), and endocrine (thyroid) cancer surgery; two board certified pediatric oncologists; and four board certified radiation oncologists.

We offer a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care featuring state-of-the-art therapies, compassionate care, expert second opinions, support services, nutrition counseling, holistic care, clinical trials, easy access and free parking. Multidisciplinary conferences such as the breast tumor board, thoracic oncology clinic, pediatric tumor board, head and neck tumor board, gamma knife conference, and melanoma tumor board allow physicians from different specialties to reach a consensus as to the optimal plan of action for the patient.

We work aggressively to open new clinical trials, some of which are created based on the needs of our patient population, giving many patients access to treatment that would not otherwise be available.

The LJCC supports basic science, clinical and epidemiological research into the causes and treatment of cancer, and sponsors educational programs about cancer for health professionals, patients and the general public.

We are accredited as a teaching hospital cancer program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, and its Radiation Oncology department is certified by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
