Volunteer Opportunities

Teaching / Leading a class

Teaching or leading a class is an exciting learning opportunity and an enriching and rewarding experience. Your educational background and/or your special interests, as well as the interests of our older adults, can help you determine the topic that you can facilitate.

If you are unable to teach, but know some qualified individuals who can be instructors for the program, please let us know by email at or by phone at (252) 328-9198. You may also give us your course suggestions through this contact information.

Serving on a committee

Are you interested in offering your talents, skills and experiences by serving on a committee? If so, you might consider joining one of the following committees:

  • Program Committee
  • Marketing Committee
  • Activities and Services Committee
  • Finance and Development Committee

For more information about volunteer opportunities, teaching classes or joining a committee, contact Dr. Lolita Harbit by email at or by telephone at (252) 328-9198.
