Bermuda 2000 - Lartington

The steam ship Lartington was launched in June 1875.  She was 245 feet in length with a 32 foot beam and displaced 878 tons.  Running into a fierce storm in December 1878, the Lartington developed substantial leaks in her stern and headed towards Bermuda for safety.  She ran aground near Western Blue Cut on December 14, 1878.
