Adam was a research assistant on the "Exploring Two Albemarle Sound Rivers" project (2005-2006), and served as a crew chief on ECU's 2007 summer field school on the Pamlico River, North Creek and the vicinity of New Bern. He is currently working on a thesis concerning the Roanoke River entitled Legal Commerce, Illicit Trades: The Role of Legality and Geographic Convenience in the Patterning of Maritime Commercial Activities on the Roanoke River, North Carolina (due for completion in 2007) .

Amy was a research assistant on the "Exploring Two Albemarle Sound Rivers" project (2005-2006). She is currently working on a thesis examining the factors involved in shipwrecking incidents within Albemarle Sound.

Calvin was a participant in the 2003 examination of the vessel Star, and remote sensing surveys on the Roanoke and Perquimans Rivers. Most recently he served as co-PI of the 2006 investigation of a number of watercraft in the Tar and Pamlico Rivers, and was staff archaeologist on the 2007 ECU summer fieldschool working on the Pamlico River, North Creek, and vicinity of New Bern.

Franklin was a crew-chief on the 2005 ECU investigation of the USS Otsego. In 2006 completed his thesis entitled Conflict and Commerce: Maritime Archaeological Site Distribution as Cultural Change on the Roanoke River, North Carolina.
