As the floodwaters left by Hurricane Matthew recede across eastern North Carolina, East Carolina University continues to assist the region in addressing ongoing needs associated with storm damage.

While still concentrating on the flooding's immediate impacts, East Carolina also is looking ahead at the long-term opportunities for service involved in the recovery. ECU recognizes that communities-including the ECU family itself-affected by the flooding will continue to experience need in the days and months ahead.

Faculty, staff, and students stand ready to offer their expertise and good will to those who seek it. From professional services to volunteer efforts and more, ECU will continue responding to direct requests while also sharing news about opportunities to help.

Please explore the resource list under "Community/Local Gov Resources," "Volunteer Opportunities" and "ECU Family" links for further information. You also can send specific inquiries and information about service opportunities to MatthewRecovery@ecu.edu.
