A Day on the Water – Sailing the Periauger

Periauger is a replica of an 18th century workboat endemic to the APES (Albemarle-Pamlico Estuarine System).  Ken Ries of Hertford, NC looks after Periauger and graciously allowed a few MSA members a hand at the ropes.  With slightly variable winds mostly from the East, we tacked and jibed between the S bridge by the Hertford docks and the upriver settlement of Windfall.
