Fall 2007 - Spring 2008 MSA Officers
President - Nadine Kopp
Nadine Kopp is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She received her BA from Wilfrid Laurier University
in Waterloo, Ontario, in Archaeology and Anthropology.
She has worked on native and historic archaeological
sites throughout Ontario and has also
excavated in Bermuda in partnership with the Bermuda Maritime
Museum. Her interests
include War of 1812 sites.
Vice President – Mel Ashmore
Mel grew up in a tiny town called Boscobel, Wisconsin.
She did her undergraduate work in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, getting a
Bachelor's degree in Archaeological Studies. After graduating Mel
applied to several graduate programs, and decided on ECU's Maritime Studies
program. She is in her second year at ECU, and is currently working on
her thesis.
Treasurer – Megan Sumerell
Secretary – Seth Warburton
Seth, while performing his
secretarial duties, lends both style and grace to the MSA government. In addition to the onerous task of taking
notes, Seth also undertakes to keep the MSA web-site current. A graduate of the Pennsylvania State
University with a BS in
Meteorology Seth is now in his second year in ECU’s maritime
program. His interests are centered on
the American Navy under sail.
