ECU honors victims with day of remembrance
The Volunteer and Service-Learning Center at East Carolina University hosted the 9th annual Holocaust Awareness Day April 17 on the campus mall.
The event was held as part of national Days of Remembrance established by the U.S. Congress. Faculty, staff, student and community volunteers read the names of Holocaust victims and luminaries were lit to honor the victims. Fifty-four volunteers participated in reading names and other activities during the Holocaust Awareness event on campus.
