LIVING MEMORIAL: ECU’s Science and Technology Building is visible through the branches and seed pods of a newly planted Golden Raintree. The ECU Tai Chi Club, with the assistance of ECU’s Buildings and Grounds Department, planted the tree to honor the memory of Dr. Chia-yu Li, former chair of the chemistry department. Li died Dec. 14, 2005, after serving the university since 1973. (Photo by Joy Holster)
