Join us for a day of learning and sharing designed to showcase effective ways of teaching and learning at the college level. In 30-minute sessions, participating faculty from ECU, UNC-G, and Portland State University will present working solutions.
A second strand has been designed especially for foreign language faculty and will offer a three-hour workshop by
Rob Sanders of Portland State University, who participated in the national FIPSE Roadmap to Redesign Project. ECU faculty Carol Christian and Ann Borisoff-Rodgers will showcase the Modified Spanish Program. This unique program provides accomodations for at-risk students to enable them to complete ECU’s four-semester foreign language requirement. The presenters will share successful instructional strategies, teaching materials and assessment modifications.
No registration fee for ECU faculty ($8.00 boxed lunch optional). Registration for other university and community college participants is $35.00 per person, which includes boxed lunch.
