Off-Campus Safety

Safety Services for Off-Campus Students:

Blue Light Phones: Located throughout main campus, Brody School of Medicine and exterior parking lots Goes directly to ECU Police dispatch center

Safe Ride: Available to students both on and off campus Safe Ride Vans provide a safe ride home to your residence in the downtown Greenville area. Must have an ECU one card to get on the bus 328-RIDE (328-7433) Please see Safe Ride Website for service schedule.

RAD Classes (Rape Aggression Defense)
Basic self defense
      Intro course (3 hours)
      Full Course (12 hours)

Women: "To develop and enhance the options of self defense, so they may become viable considerations to the woman who is attacked."

Men: "To provide responsible information and tactical options of self defense for men who find themselves in confrontational situations."

*Only National Program for self defense- Free lifetime return policy*

Operation Identification: I will come to your house/apartment and engrave your valuables

  • record of what you own
  • if items are stolen, its much easier to track down if there is an identifying mark on it.
  • Pawn shops keep a record of who pawned what
