New to the PASC in the Fall of 2017, the Peer-Led Study Group Program provides the opportunity for students enrolled in introductory courses to meet on a weekly basis with a group of 6 peers to review course material, solve problems, and gain an understanding of course concepts. Study groups are facilitated by peer facilitators who have already successfully completed the course, and are trained in facilitation techniques.
Study groups meet from 7-9PM on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Study group meetings are designed to engage all group members, and are not meant to be tutoring or review sessions led solely by the group facilitator. Facilitators use facilitation techniques, encouraging and supporting members to teach and learn from each other. Study group membership is voluntary, but members are required to attend regularly and participate actively.

Study groups will begin on January 23rd and January 24th. The last day to sign up is February 1st.
Tutor Matching Service (TMS) is an online tutor list that matches students and community users with tutors for tutoring sessions for ECU courses, subject review, and standardized test preparation. PASC staff have collaborated with Tutor Matching Service for the convenience of students who either opt to not use PASC services or would rather have a private tutor. TMS tutors offer their services on a pay-per-session basis. They set their rates themselves, and you pay them directly through TMS by credit card. Tutoring sessions are held either online or at Joyner Library. All ECU enrolled students receive $50 in free tutoring each summer session and semester.
The Pirate Academic Success Center provides "badges" for student tutors who have been recommended by PASC staff, trained and certified by the PASC, or who have been endorsed by ECU academic departments
