The Team

Here are our team members, if you would like to contact someone directly, try the contact list.

For former lab members go here.

Alexander Murashov, M.D., Ph.D., Principal Investigator

His major interest lies in cell signaling in the central and peripheral nervous systems in injury and regeneration.

Elena S. Pak, Lab Manager

Elena is in working with ES Cells and neuronal cultures. Her project focuses on differentiating stem cells into specific neuronal progenitors.

Di Wu, Doctoral Student

Di is an international student from China. She is interested in using stem sells to repair neuronal injuries.

Mohamed Raafat, undergraduate student

Mohamed is interested in microRNA biogenesis during peripheral nerve injury and regeneration

Bineyam (Ben) Kassahun, Master Student

Ben attempts to explain how signals are conducted within neurons on the grounds of non-equilibrium thermodynamics using Heimburg's soliton model.
