The police telecommunications center is equipped to handle all types of emergency communications, including campus 9-1-1 calls and TDD (hearing impaired) calls. In excess of 100 Emergency Blue-Light Phones are located throughout campus and at the entrances of all residence halls. These phones, when activated, ring directly into the ECU police telecommunications center, where the receiving phone digitally displays the exact location of the Emergency Blue-Light Phone on campus.
