Areas of Emphasis
MPA students are expected to develop knowledge and expertise in a specialized are of public administration. This involves successful completion of five courses in a given sub-field. Depending on the individual area of emphasis, course can be selected in public administration or in other recognized departments within the university (e.g., community health; planning; business; psychology; gerontology; etc.). While the interests and needs of individual students can be accommodated through customized, individual areas of emphasis, the currently established areas include
