Department of Political Science

Internships in Political Science

The department actively encourages students of political science to pursue an internship in an applied political setting such as local, state, and federal government, and political campaigns. Practical political experience allows students to develop a deeper understanding of the political world studied in class, and provides an opportunity for students to build a substantive work history. Academic credit is available for participation in the internship experience.
