Elizabeth McAllister

Elizabeth V. McAllister Director

Elizabeth V. McAllister was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, and aside from a five-year stay in Florida, has lived in North Carolina all her life. Elizabeth attended East Carolina University where she received a BS in Communication (Radio & TV Production) in May 1993. In March 1994, she was offered a position in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at ECU. From 1994 - 2005, she worked her way up to Assistant Director of Admissions, where she worked primarily with transfer students. Elizabeth completed her MA in English: Technical & Professional Communication in December 2004. In October 2005, Elizabeth began working as an Academic Advisor for the College of Allied Health Sciences at ECU. In May 2010, she became Director of the Center for Pre-Professional Advising. Elizabeth advises undergraduate students who are undecided on a major, but know they are interested in a career in dentistry, medicine, or law. Additionally, she serves as the "pre-med," "pre-dental," and "pre-law" advisor (which is secondary to the students major advisor), and is the faculty advisor for the Pre-Law Society.

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys leading in the youth and music ministries at St. James United Methodist Church, ECU football, word and trivia games, reading, traveling, bowling,and spending time with her husband and their family and friends.

Stephanie Bailey

Stephanie Kugler Bailey grew up in Geneva, Switzerland and Fairfax, Virginia. She attended East Carolina University where she earned her Master's degree in Counselor Education and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Stephanie began advising at ECU in the College of Health and Human Performance Advising Center in March, 2007. In August 2010, Stephanie began work in the College of Allied Health and Pre-Professional Advising Center. Stephanie advises undergraduate students pursuing degrees in Speech and Hearing and Health Services Management, and teaches COAD 1000 (Freshman Seminar). She also works with students interested in pursuing graduate school in pharmacy and optometry. Stephanie has professional memberships with the North Carolina School Counselor Association, NACADA (National Advisor Association), and is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband, close family, good friends and Golden Retriever (aka furry baby) Cubbie. An addiction to shopping, sitting on the beach with a good book anywhere (but you will find her most on the OBX) and time with friends and travel seem to fill up any extra time! Stephanie is a lifelong PIRATE and loves sharing the purple and gold spirit with her ECU students.

Anthony
Anthony Coutouzis
Academic Advisor
College of Allied Health

 

Anthony grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and has long been a proud member of the Pirate Nation.  He attended East Carolina University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications in 2004, along with a Master’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science in 2006.  After stints working in Fayetteville and Wilmington, North Carolina, Anthony returned to the Greenville area in December of 2010.   He worked during the spring 2011semester as a Teaching Instructor with ECU’s Department of Kinesiology, and in August of 2011, Anthony started in his current role as Academic Advisor for the College of Allied Health Sciences and Pre-Professional Advising.  He advises undergraduate students pursuing Clinical Laboratory Science, Rehabilitation Services, and Speech and Hearing, and also advises past and present ECU students pursuing graduate-level Physician Assistant and Physical Therapy programs.  In addition, he serves as faculty advisor for the Pre-P.A. club.

Aside from education, Anthony has worn a number of different hats in the past, with diverse experiences in sports radio, marketing, public relations, exercise fitness, and recreation.  In his free time, Anthony enjoys spending time with his wife, playing with their German Shepherd Maximus, working out, cooking, reading, laying around on the beach, and of course, attending Pirate sporting events.
