The Department of Psychology offers (1) a Master's degree and Certificate of Advanced Study in School Psychology and (2) a Master's degree in General-Theoretic Psychology with a concentration in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

Master's Degree and Certificate of Advanced
Study in School Psychology

The MA/CAS program in School Psychology prepares professional school psychologists who work in a competent and creative way with children, parents and educational personnel in the school system and various other settings. The MA/CAS meets the educational requirements for licensure as a school psychologist in North Carolina, for State Board of Psychology licensure in North Carolina as a Psychological Associate, and certification by the National School Psychology Certification Board.

The Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology concentration at East Carolina University trains students to apply scientific solutions to the workplace. The I/O concentration is a 45-semester hour Master's program that provides students with the tools to work in industrial and organizational settings.
