The I/O Psychology concentration at East Carolina University trains students to apply scientific solutions to the workplace.  I/O is a 45 semester hour Master's program where students are provided with the tools to work in industrial and organizational settings.

An essential part of the program is an internship (occurring during the summer between a student's 1st and 2nd year).  The internship provides students with an opportunity to apply skills learned through course work and to acquire new skills in an organizational setting. The internship may require students to relocate.

The department has four I/O psychologists and two additional faculty members who are actively involved in the program. The I/O concentration is one of three within the general psychology program, the others  being  Academic, and Research.
