Research Interests:
My research foci reflect my interests in developmental psychopathology and pediatric school psychology. The developmental psychopathology perspective stresses the importance of an ecological approach in the assessment and treatment of childhood problems and considers resiliency factors that protect children. I focused recent research efforts on children with attention problems & disruptive behaviors and implications for social-emotional & academic functioning (e.g., Walcott, Upton, Bolen, & Brown, 2008; Walcott, Carlson, & Beamon, 2009; Walcott, Scheemaker, & Bielski, 2009).
