Research Interests:

Dr. Wirtz conducts research on emotion, culture, and everyday judgment - with an emphasis on happiness, or subjective well-being. His research interests include the influence of culture on well-being and conceptions of the "good life," cultural differences in the self, and the experience and recall of affective events.
