Introduction
Medical physicists perform acceptance testing, data collection, calibration, and quality assurance for all new and existing radiation therapy equipment and treatment planning devices; provide technical assistance to physicians, dosimetrists, and therapists with regard to the implementation and accuracy of the delivered radiation therapy treatment; and insure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
