The TQA Planning Work Group will focus on development of the curriculum for faculty who are preparing to become quality leaders within their departments / schools, and will be developing curriculum and innovative teaching strategies in order to teach medical students.
The Credential in Medical Education Work Group will be working with faculty from the ECU College of Education to develop the educational curriculum for TQA Faculty. This work group will work closely with the TQA Planning Work Group.
The Longitudinal Curriculum Pre-Clinical Work Group will be focused on implementation of the IHI Open School Curriculum and integration of small group activities that teach about patient safety, the model for improvement, and team-based care into appropriate courses in the M1 and M2 years.
The Longitudinal Curriculum Clinical Work Group will be focused on implementation of grant related teaching activities into M3 and M4 required clerkships.
The LINC Scholars Work Group will be focused on development of the immersion courses for a subset of students who will be dedicating additional time and effort into learning to become change leaders in patient safety and quality improvement, while they earn a Certificate in Healthcare Transformation and Quality
The Evaluation Work Group will be working on executing the measurement strategies that will assess the effectiveness of REACH curriculum on learners’ knowledge, attitudes and skills, as well as look for ways to assess the impact of the program on health care outcomes and regional health disparities.
