RENCI at ECU's NC COHAZ kiosk was part of the RENCI display of technology at "Create the Future: A Community Conversation" presented by the College of Albemarle as part of the Land of Beginnings Festival at the Wright Brothers National Park Memorial Pavilion.
The conference was designed to showcase technology on the Outer Banks, including that in use by the UNC Coastal Studies Institute, RENCI, and the Chamber of Commerce. About 150 community members participated in an opportunity to learn about technology from speakers such as Kevin Gamiel, community engagement manager for RENCI located at the UNC Coastal Studies Institute, and to participate in conversations about the future of technology with Jennifer Shelton of RENCI and the Create the Future Initiative, a virtual community conversation about where the Outer Banks is going.
