ROVER attends Amateur Radio Field Day

The RENCI ROVER at Field Day 2008
RENCI at ECU research associate Paul Fletcher is also a member of the Brightleaf Amateur Radio Club in Greenville. Over the weekend, Dr. Fletcher and the ROVER participated in the national Amateur Radio Field Day, an annual event in which amateur radio operators across the nation test their equipment and skills under emergency, or field, conditions.
Local CBS station WNCT Eyewitness News 9 covered the event. The ROVER appears often in background of their news clip, which can be viewed at WNCT's website.
Dr. Fletcher and the ROVER also attended Field Day 2008.
