2012 Visualization Challenge Winners
The Visualization Challenge hosted by RENCI at ECU took place on March 21, 2012. Both undergraduate and graduate students displayed their visualization and presentation skills to our ECU judges, Karen Mulchahy of Geography, Nick Murray of Kinesiology and our guest judge from NC State RENCI, Sid Thakur. Our undergraduate winner was Jamie Wheeler and our graduate winners were Cal Scheinert and Jessica Bingham. Jamie is a geography student working with Dr. Burrel Montz, Chair or Geography and Dr. Alex Manda, assistant professor in Geology and research in the Institute for Coastal Science and Policy. Cal is in the Geography Department, working with Dr. Thad Wasklewicz on laser scanning projects. Jessica is a master's student in chemistry.
The winners were recognized at the 2012 Research and Creative Week Luncheon on Friday March 30.
