The Office of Undergraduate Research

 Welcome to the Office of Undergraduate Research at East Carolina University.  We believe that a well-educated student should have access to quality undergraduate research opportunities within any field of study.  Therefore, we offer competitive awards for research support (URCA grants) and travel funds* for students presenting their work at discipline-specific meetings.  We sponsor the annual Undergraduate Research Day during ECU's Research Week in March and trips to the State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium (SNCURCS) and the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR).  We also are a part of the biennial Research in the Capital Symposium in Raleigh that allows top undergraduate researchers the opportunity to present their work to state legislators.
