Giving to the 1962 Society

Join the 1962 Campaign: Become a Member To honor the matriculation of ECU’s first student and graduate, Laura Leary Elliott, in 1962 and the historic presence of African-Americans at East Carolina, alumni are being asked to join the 1962 Society. Society members will contribute $1,962 each academic year to fund the Laura Leary Elliott Memorial Scholarship. Alumni will also be encouraged to support at various levels. The scholarship is administered by the 1962 Society Steering Committee and supported by the Division of Student Affairs.

Gifts at the Legacy level and above will also receive Chancellor’s Society recognition by the East Carolina University Foundation, Inc.
