Where are they now?

In her own words:

In an interview this year, I was asked----What was my biggest step in the arts? Without hesitation I said, “my biggest step in the arts was when I went out of state to attend East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C.” I grew up in rural South Carolina. When driving to visit the ECU campus for the first time, I recall that there was a private notion among my parents to talk me out of going out of state to school. But after meeting the faculty and Dean Grey, touring the art building…..it was too late.

I have held many positions to facilitate this labor of love-- painting, but I wouldn’t change a thing. It has been a life that is rich and full.

Currently we (my husband Jim) reside in Cocoa Beach. Our home/office/studio relocated three years ago to Florida and I have been a full-time studio artist exhibiting in juried, group and solo shows. As an artist I do contemporary figurative oils on canvas and continue my path in the visual arts on feminine journey (please visit web site, www.spiesmanart.com
