1/06    Organized for Women’s Studies and brought in Sandra Jones to do a performance in Jenkins auditorium entitled, Sojourner Truth, with outreaches to my art classes, the University and to the community.

11/ 05    In charge of bringing in performance artist and art doll maker Lois Simbach www.jazzystuff.com/lsart.html for Women Studies, was originally planned for March but had to postpone.

6/05    Assisted Nancy House with Candidate Gunnar Swanson, took to dinner and then out to R.A. Fountain

4 /05   Nominated for the 2005 Chancellor’s Synergy Awards for work done on the World Peace Initiatives Team

4/05               Youth Festival, sponsored by SOAD, portrait artist

1/ 05       Attended COBEC conference in Belize, CA,  for ECU

11/21/04    I assisted Mendenhall Student Center with their Universal Dances of Peace, by assisting musician Mike Hamer

10/1/04    Played guitar and sang for the NC Craft symposium during lunch

9/23/04    I assisted Mendenhall Student Center with activities surrounding the Rumi concert “A Night of Stars” with publicity, seating viewers, helping the performers, entertaining them etc.

9/22/04        I assisted Women’s Studies with the registration of student voters for the Presidential election, by sitting in a booth on Wright Plaza 9/22

9/19/04        I assisted Mendenhall Student Center with their Universal Dances of Peace, by assisting musician Mike Hamer

Fall –spring ‘04    Assisted Women Studies with the organization of the SEWSA Conference,

9/10/04    I assisted Mendenhall Student Center with visiting visual artist Khahil Bendib, whose sculpture show, Angels and Demons was exhibited in the Mendenhall gallery. I escorted him around the art school, visiting the galleries, meeting with students, faculty and administrators, assisting him with his reception, promotion of his exhibit etc.

1996-99         People Act: (community, arts association) People Act, E.C.U. and an N.C.H.C. grant for the production of An American Cafe: This is an interactive multi-cultural theater production. I was an active participant in this project when it was initiated in 1996, and Three of my paintings Portrait of Gay, and Portrait of Arlene and Portrait of Benito have been part of the stage setting since 1997 and continue to be on loan while video taping for WUNC/TV (Public TV) is underway as part of their Race Initiatives programming
