lf and other artists, and over 20 works by high schools students that followed the parameters of an assignment that I introduced to their classes. This exhibition was originally scheduled to be a solo exhibition, but was reorganized to include my recent collaborative works and artworks by students of JH Rose High School, South Central High School and Kinston High School.

(Lecture/Demonstration) With help from the Art Education Area, Anne Melanie and Michael Ehlbeck, organized the 2009 North Carolina National Art Honor Society Spring Retreat at East Carolina University. We gave tours of the facilities, a mixed media work shop and printmaking workshop, to approximately 60 advanced placement art students from across the state of NC. I collaborated with many of the students to produce a large mixed media painting that was disassembled at the end of the conference, and each participant and teacher was given a piece of the original artwork.
