-ECU Second Century Campaign
The Department of Sociology is proud to award a number of scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students each year in recognition of academic achievement, leadership and community service. These scholarship funds are primarily generated by donations from alumni and current or former faculty. Specific awards amounts vary depending on investment returns, but typically range from $250 to $2,000 per scholarship per student.
Students who are eligible to apply for scholarships will be contacted by the Undergraduate or Graduate Director during the early part of the Spring semester. In some cases, an application is required for consideration.

Gifting, Giving, Supporting Our Students The Department of Sociology shares ECU's commitment to working with students to make education accessible. We understand that many students and their families face considerable hardship in paying for a college education. Therefore, our fundraising efforts focus on building on our scholarship opportunities for students and our ability to develop solid, marketable skills through resources like our Community Research Lab and Computerized Classroom space. Please note, the Fund # for the Sociology Department is 956000.
